Second crap day in a row !!! I don'y like windsurfing much anymore :( With the wind forecast to be sw 15/20 and with my dislike of The Fludgers I headed for The Manor and rigged by the coastwatch martello. With winds gusting to nearly 30 mph I rigged 6.6 and took out my 100 lt,floundered out and did'nt get planning once as the wind had dropped :( Lost a couple of groynes, walked back and rigged the 7.5 on the 133 lt. F2 Zantos which was okay so I headed for Wadgate post one and a half miles out to try for a mile in the lumpy sea,I actually gybed the post and was heading back when my fin sheared off over a mile out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it was get the self rescue manuel out and take off the harness and put it on the back of the board. This worked but was knackering :( after several stop starts I made it back just the manor side of the peir :) to be met by my son Rob and his girlfriend Hannah who did'nt take the p***** too much.We then walked all the way back to The Manor to get a spare fin to be met by the coastwatch telling me someone had dialle d 999 !!!! I walked back to my board to met the coastguard on the prom, they helped me change fin and then I tried to sail back by which time the wind was 27 gusting 33 !!! so I gave up de-rigged and the coastguard took my gear back in the back of their pickup along a crowded bank holiday prom !!! Time to pack up two boards/sails head home for lunch and then went to Flatford for a lovelly walk - at least I can do that without coming to harm !!!! We learned from the coastguard that several sailors were missing at an event in Minus Bay and the helicopter had just been called !!! I have a friend at that event - hope he is okay ???

Lastly well done to the speedy Dutch for another fast session !!! I hope they realise how lucky they are to have such a selection of fast spots and strong winds :)
